The Center seeks to become a leader for change in the academic discipline and profession of sport.  The objectives of the Center include creating a scope of knowledge and consensus about issues facing sport; developing a new class of leaders and thinkers called Scholarly Sport Practitioners; and addressing the concept of social responsibility in sport organizations and stakeholders.  With your gift, you can help the Center fund research projects and initiatives, so that we may continue to explore, research, present, voice and implement practical solutions in the arena of sport.

I can only make a small gift at this time. Will it still make an impact?

Every gift makes a difference. The cumulative effect of several small gifts can be significant.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes.  Your gift to the Center is tax deductible.  However, according to IRS guidelines, institutions such as Middle Tennessee State University have the responsibility of advising the donors of the fair market value of goods and services received in recognition of your gift. Your gift acknowledgment will contain this information.

Will the Center apply any part of my gift to administrative costs?

Nothing is withheld for administrative costs from a contribution that is directed for a specific purpose. For unrestricted gifts and special event contributions, a small amount will be applied to operating expenses.

How can I take advantage of my company's Matching Gift Program?

The company you work for could assist you in increasing your level of giving with a matching gift.  Your donor gift along with your company’s matching gift equals your total annual gift.

Can I contribute a gift in-kind or a gift of my time and talents?

Providing services in lieu of cash gifts is another way to show your support and help to greatly reduce our expenditures.  Donations in forms such as resources, time, and research are greatly appreciated and will produce a savings to the overall budget.

How do I send my gift?

The Center accepts Visa and Mastercard for pledge payments.  You must list the name of the cardholder, account number, expiration date, and the cardholder’s signature.
