The Goals of the Center for Sport Policy and Research are to:

1. Provide formal, interdisciplinary training for graduate students, as well as coaches, sport administrators, and sport managers.
2. Conduct research across the sport management spectrum and integrate these findings into training and service.
3. Provide applied sport management services to the university and surrounding community through outreach/consultation, formal workshops, and individual consultations.
4. Provide awareness, information, and understanding of the meaning, purpose and value of sport in order to create long-term solutions for sport.
5. Identify, apply for, and receive funding in order to advance the mission of the Center.
